This is Mrs. Nelson's first year at St. John the Baptist. She is a graduate of Ball State University with a BS in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Kindergarten. She's also a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with an MA in Theology.

Over the years, she has taught pre-school, Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. She has taught in Indianapolis and most recently at Huntington Catholic School. She's so  happy to be back in second grade at SJB! 

Mrs. Nelson has three adult children (and one daughter-in-law).  Two of her children are teachers and her youngest is a student at Purdue University studying to one day become a veterinarian. She also has 3 dogs.  In her spare time, you can find her helping her husband and youngest son run their pumpkin farm, reading a book, riding her bike, or traveling.
